A Little Bit of Everything

🙏💙🎶 Not some message written in the dark, or some truth that no one sees....It’s a little bit of everything. 🎶💙🙏

Life rarely offers us a clean narrative to follow along to. It gives us detours, contradictions, moments that feel monumental beside moments that feel painfully small.

This excerpt from the Dawes song, "A Little Bit of Everything" touches on the overall meaning that the answer to it all isn’t found by stripping life down to certainty, but rather by staying present through all of it. The grief, humor, the passing beauty. The ache of realizing how much we carry, and how much we can’t hold onto forever.

Some days ask us to wrestle with questions that have no tidy or easy answers. Other days remind us to look up, laugh, breathe, and notice the strange miracle of being here at all. Wisdom doesn’t always arrive as some kind of clarity; sometimes it arrives as an uneasy acceptance. Acceptance of the fact that joy and sorrow can sit at the same table, that memory and momentum can coexist, that we can be broken open without being broken apart.

This is the work. Not to outrun the weight of the world, and not to collapse beneath it either, but to learn how to carry it with grace, curiosity, and compassion for yourself and others. To realize that even in uncertainty, there is value and meaning. Even in endings, there are the seeds of new beginnings.

You don’t need to choose one truth and abandon the rest.

You’re allowed to live along the in-between, where complexity exists unapologetically, where humanity breathes freely, and where it’s normal to be incomplete.

🪬💙🙏
