Full of Masks

Most people walk through life covered in layers, expectations, survival strategies, old wounds, and practiced smiles. A whole world full of masks… and most of them not consciously adorned but rather instilled through the scorn of unsafe reflections.
In a world full of masks,
it’s privilege to see soul.
You will meet those whose guard lowers and in return lowers yours,
whose truth shows through clearly and concisely, whose presence feels real in a way the world rarely encourages around you...When you’re able to see someone like that, or when someone sees you in that way, it’s nothing short of sacred.
This is a reminder to notice the people who don’t make you guess,
who don’t perform or demand for you to, who don’t hide behind unhealed versions of themselves to stay safe or in control.
It’s a call to honor that part of yourself, too. The part that’s tired of pretending. The part that just wants to be known, to feel home.
Seeing the soul of another is no accident.
It’s awareness.
It’s attention.
It’s connection.
And it’s one of the most human privileges we will ever get.
