Never Earn Your Worth

“May you never feel the need to earn your worth again.”
So many of us grew up believing we had to perform to be valued...shrinking ourselves to be accepted into spaces that never truly fit us to begin with. We were forced to learn how to stay agreeable, quiet, useful, impressive, anything but wholly ourselves.
Worth isn’t something you win. It isn’t "earned". It isn’t a reward handed out when you’ve done enough or been enough to somebody else.
Worth is inherent.
It’s the breath beneath your lungs.
The spark behind your eyes.
The unique story that only you can tell.
My hope, for anyone reading this, is that you stop negotiating your existence. Stop trying to earn what has always been yours. Stop treating your heart like a resume that needs approval.
You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to be seen without apology.
You are allowed to belong simply because you are here.
May today be the day you finally believe that!
